A Message To a The Kakapo. By CpSingleton © 2014
Kakapo, dear Kakapo,
Please tell me
What is fun for you to do?
Your mighty frame has, it seems,
No special kind of
You climb up trees without a worry.
Up and along
Each branch you scurry,
Where you stand: proud and alone!
Before jumping off
Just like a stone.
Is it just that you’ve forgotten flight?
Or more exact to say
You’ve forgotten you’ve forgotten, right?
You really need to stop the act,
Because the ground can hurt
At full contact!
Your numbers are not high enough
For you to prove
That you are tough!
Pray, get a ladder or
Wear a ‘chute,
You big, daft, soft-brained feathery brute!
