My Lifeboat. By CpSingleton © 2014
It’s like I’m in my own one-man lifeboat.
All about I’m surrounded by shitty, swampy water and
The junk thrown by idiots with no sense of decorum.
I don’t have any wish to swing my legs out.
I want to float this way,
Like a John and Yoko without a cause.
People can come a-knocking.
Journalists from the local rag
Will ask me semi-intelligent questions,
Misspelling my name, and I will say,
With no air of philosophic quality, that
They are getting their feet wet not I.
