“You’re no good to man nor beast!”
Said the man with breath like yeast.
He tottered, then stumbled forth
In his search for nothing.
He bounced from pillar on to post
Like he couldn’t decide which he loved the most,
Before he giggled into a ball.
What a silly man is he.
When asked how it was he got that way
My ears were shocked to hear him say
That it was another’s fault:
That devil woman from before.
Then just as I was about to wait
For damaged man to elaborate
He loudly began snore and snort
So I went home for tea.
