Nobody Wins, But Time. By CpSingleton © 2014
Once upon a moment there were three concepts: time, male and female.
At first it wasn’t very complicated.
Time sat in the background as young male and female played happily. They ate when they were hungry, they slept when they were tired, they awoke when they were refreshed.
As male and female expanded, time joined in, took over and ruined everything.
It began to dictate every aspect of their lives.
That ever monotoned beat swallowed up all of their hopes, until eventually all that was left was a memory of their happiness. A still-life snapshot.
Time meandered on regardless.
Never happy, never sad. It never hoped, not did it love. It never joked.
A torturous by-product. An artificial irrelevance designed to confuse.
An unseen jailer rattling keys.
Male and female died and were replaced.
Time remained constant.
