Hey Diddle-Dum. By CpSingleton © 2012
The cat had a drum,
He beat it all day and all night.
The dog joined in with his dad’s guitar, and
The cow signed them on sight.
Away they skipped
‘Til the hare was pipped
To number one song in the charts.
Alice, dear Alice, danced all night while
Holding hands with the queen of hearts.
The king was greener
Than any apple ever seen-er
That his wife didn’t ask him to dance, but,
His legs were like two windmills on fire and
She wasn’t willing to take that chance.
So, the band played on,
‘Til way after the sun
Had stretched and slunk of to bed.
The moon laughed so loud to see such fun,
That he fell over and bumped his head.
