I actually coined the phrase with an actor friend, when we were going to form a group nearly a decade ago. It never happened and now that I was forming a writing circle I figured it would work just as well.
The theory behind the title is that the room we would meet in should be a place of utter respect, where ideas and thoughts are shared and never stamped on.
When I described the little manifesto all agreed that the name should stay.
Anywho the next meeting was with the manager of The Shop, Paul and the lady who Becky said wanted to help, Lauren.
We chatted about the first session and decided that I would be the gob. After that they could swap me if they wanted.
You may wander why I might want to start a group and then give them the chance to take over. Well, why would I name it thusly and then be the one to stamp my ego?
